Going to school

I am getting into my classroom for the first time. Beginning to bring things in and start to set up. I have this week and next to get it together before I start at the New Teacher Institute on August 13th. Am I ready? Ready or not, here I go. I have lots of books, many ideas, lesson plans.....many years of experience. Why am I so nervous? I am ready for this! I had great professors, read good books on teaching, had a great intern experience. I am hoping that this will all help me in the days ahead. I will over plan and had lots of books to read in the first few weeks. This will be the time to create our classroom rules, practice them and find out about who we are and how we will work together.

Ready or not, here I go!
